KMS Partners

Another way to prevent and to manage conflict

KMS Partners is a partnership between lawyers and mediators.
After having worked in several large firms the KMS founders, Patrick Kileste, Cécile Staudt and Dimitri De Ryck have decided to create a smaller structure, allowing the avoidance of conflicts of interests and values.

Their two principles are:

On the one hand, specialization in the following areas of expertise : commercial distribution law, corporate law, competition law, contracts law, property law, family law and international private law ;

And on the other hand, to promote « another way to manage the dispute », favoring alternative dispute resolution

KMS Partners’ members can help their clients in all those fields of law.

In order to maintain their ability to meet any request, they favor the membership in several networks, formal and informal, at the national and international levels.

KMS Partners are able to meet the needs of any firm or person in those fields of expertise and to help any person faced with a conflict to choose the most appropriate way to resolve it.

Distribution and competition law

Patrick Kileste and Cécile Staudt are particularly active in the area of commercial distribution law, at the national and European levels. They have published several books in the fields of commercial partnership agreements, i.e. sales concessions agreements, franchise and commercial agency. They have also drafted case law chronicles on concession of sales for more than 25 years and regularly write articles or commentaries on courts decisions in the most prestigious Belgian law reviews (Journal des Tribunaux, Revue de Droit Commercial, Revue Critique de Jurisprudence Belge, JLMB). They give regularly lectures in those areas.
